You can study wherever, and whatever you want

Online learning is antoher kind of study. It is without social contact. But many people can study what they are interested in and what is not possible to study in their country or is not in their country so good-classed. I thing online learning is quite harder than normal not distance learning. Tha major part is about self study. They are sometimes hard to concust all what you want with you tutor, because he take care of more students. But how I told, you can study some things with more quality and more experiences than in country you growing up. Some people haven´t time to go to school every an all day, they must go to work. Some people haven´t so much money to afford living in another country with payings tution. And this is good way to pay only part of this or nothing.

Traditional VS modern way

I was reading the posts my colleagues added before mine and I guess I can not invent "warm water" once again. Like in every situation, also e-learning has its pro's and contra's. What's a pro and what's a contra I guess depends on everyone's preferences.
In my opinion the pro's include:
- choosing the time and the place to learn,
- choosing subjects or topics you want to learn more of,
- having the ability to simultaneously surf the internet for additional information if needed,
- it is easily accessible and more cost-effective (or maybe not?).

I am pleased I am not the only one more in favor of traditional studying. Well, I also think, that if I was writing my opinion 15 years ago (or 15 years younger as I am today), my point of view would also be somehow different. :)
Going to school should still mean: "going" as moving from point A to point B, not connecting to the internet, despite the luxury of your own home. Meeting fellow-students, communicating in the old fashioned way, exchanging opinions, preparing for the exams in a get-together and discuss kind of way, taking the exams in paper form, all that should be a part of learning or educating system.
But who knows, maybe even I can / will change my mind. We all know that the only constant in life are changes, so maybe in a few years time it will be difficult to understand how people ever learned anything by going to some sort of buildings, called “school”?

Virtual vs. Traditional

I personally think it is not about choosing one or the other.
I think traditional education should still be the base. That is where we learn about social interactions, learning from others and so on. If I remember correctly there is only about 7% of verbal communication going on when interacting, so online, you definetely miss on something. However it is a great way to complement traditional way. It certainly gives a whole other dimension to education. Especially virtual mobility. While everyone can't afford studying in other country for 6 months, they now have a chance to interact and learn online with other people of the world. It is a lot more flexible and a good upgrade to traditional aspects of educating yourself.
Obviously internet has a big impact on our life, but in my opinion, can never just replace our real life. People just need live contact and it is same on general and in the education.

More possibilities

I’m not in favour of online learning. I still prefer the old fashion classroom, teacher and students environment. There are so many advantages, that I would never study online. In classroom you can pay attention to study, meanwhile at home children can laugh or loudly watch TV, then visitors came… In school you can also establish contact with other students, you can get connection that will help you further in your life. Teacher is all the time available for your questions and you can discuss with others or open a debate about some subjects. I think that with traditional study we will get a bond of friendship for all our life. But on the other hand, I know that we are different, so why not. If somebody likes on line study, it is nice that we have more possibilities.

Online study - interesting, different and study of the future

Like everything, also online learning has its pluses and minuses. The good part is that you can study from the privacy of your own home which means that you organize your own schedule. People are different and for some it is easier to study and concentrate in the morning, for others in the afternoon or in the evening. This is a big advantage of online learning and at the same time also a disadvantage. You arrange things yourself, you must only be careful about the deadlines. This requires a lot of self-discipline.
Another disadvantage is that you are mostly alone and sometimes you miss the feeling of a classroom and the company of other students. It is also different if you hear the lecture from the professor and discuss it with others. After all, people are sociable creatures.
This is also the reason why virtual mobility will, in my opinion, be partly successful. On one hand it gives you an opportunity to meet foreign students (and foreign studies) online, but on the other hand we still need and like personal contact with others.

my contra choice

I am not a fan of an online study. I prefer traditional way. I experienced online study at Doba where students have some courses organized in online study. I took part in one of those courses and missed social contacts at most. I think that traditional study is more effective for me. In the classroom I get more information and the teacher is available for any questions also. Nevertheless I am aware of some online study benefits. Very important issue is time. You can study when you are prepared and willing to. Also you can study in your own place at home which can benefit either. Despite these facts I prefer traditional study.

I think that the online

I think that the online learning is wery good. You can learne what you are interestied in. It's not nessesery to walk into the school to learn what you want and you get some courses which are not in your interest but you still have it. If you are online studing you can go in job, watch over the kids or play with your dog, you have some more time than in traditional way. About money I think that is no big difference, if you have for traditional you have for online. It's thrue that you need learn alone, and I think it's harder buy may owne than if somebodey told you in live have to do and what to do. But somebody like to work alone.

On line learning

On line learning can be a very good source of aditional and more globalised learning experience. Internet has permited us to pofundise our knowledg, especially sociological, economical or political knowledge.
We can reach the information with in mtter of a second, before that we had to go to the library and see availability of books. We know that Reuters belived in the power of information. Learning on line can save us time and money and we can also choose different on line educational institutions. Its a proof that the ability to use a foreign language has improved conciderably, many news papers are available on line and ther fore accesible to the broder global public.
But in all this flood of different educationa possablities we need to be cautious, beacuse all this information can lack quality.

Sit at home and study

Studying at a distance, or study in the lecture is a huge difference. For me personally it is both very interesting, although the traditional form we prefer. Customize the work we have online. Some work through the program represents a major problem, so it may be a good idea to meet at least once in the premises where the program may be physically together with the lecturers tried. Objects such as mathematics, can not be performed online. Mathematics need to understand, those who have problems with the math, they were very difficult to learn anything.

Virtual mobility is not for everyone

I believe that if you won’t to study by virtual study you have to be a person who likes working with computers. I work 8 hours per day at work on computer and to study by e-study I can not imagine this. Also I believe that you have to know how correctly express your self by writing the right word, homework… For me it’s easier to say eye by eye than to write. My sister study by e-study and like this way very much. She said to me several times that I should study like her also but no, I like my school friends, teachers are very nice and I don’t have problems going to school twice a week.

ups and downs

Virtual study has its ups and downs. I guess it means you have to spend some time behind a computer every day which is definitely unhealthy.
It comes in handy to know how to type without looking on the keyboard.
It is great that people can learn from their chair but makes them potentially more lazy. It depends on how active they were before.

advantages and disadvantages

I think that virtual mobility has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantages are definitely that you can talk to people from other countries and learn new things. But online studying is not appropriate for all subjects, for instance math and languages. For some subjects it is important to learn in person. I think that online studying is very interesting but I prefer studying in person, because I don’t like spending all my time on the computer.
